Wausi is Strategic thought leader with over 20 years’ experience in varied sectors of government. She has been a Project lead in the planning and execution of key government programs including international conferences , events and exhibitions locally and internationally. She is a critical player working directly with the CEO and the marketing teams in defining and shaping overall communication and messaging to the destination's key audiences and leveraging key marketing platforms including digital, events, exhibitions and a robust Customer Relations Management and partnership engagement to grow Kenya’s share of tourist numbers. She has a combination of educational qualifications from various fields in the social sciences as a graduate of Masters degrees in International Relations and Linguistics , a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a post – graduate diploma in Public Relations. She is a PhD candidate at the United States International University - Africa (USIU – Africa) enrolled in International Relations and a part – time adjunct in the School of Tourism at Strathmore University. Her research interests include tourism, Foreign Policy, sustainable development, Climate change, politics and democratization and Regional Integration among others. Her interests and passion include family and parenting, girl child education, sustainable practices, and leisure golf. She currently serves as a volunteer Chairperson of the Precious Blood School - Kilungu Alumni.

Dr. Maundu Muli, PhD

HR & Administration Manager (Ag.)

Dr. Maundu Muli is the current Ag. Human Resources Manager & Administration. Prior to his current appointment, he served as Head of HR & Administration in acting capacity in the year 2010 and June 2015 – August 2019. At Kenya Tourism Board, Muli is responsible for spearheading the development of Human Capital and enhancing administration of services by developing appropriate policies, strategies and systems in line with the Board’s strategic plan and overall mandate. Within the government of Kenya, Dr Muli was engaged as Ad – Hoc Evaluation Task Force member of the then defunct Local Authorities’ Performance Contract evaluation team. In 2003, Muli headed the Secretariat under the Task force on transformation of KICC to State Agency among other assignments. Dr. Muli holds a PhD, MBA in Strategic Management and Bachelor of Arts in Economics all from University of Nairobi. Further, he possess a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Human Resources Management, among other credentials. He is a licensed HR Practitioner and previously held Chairmanship of Human Resources Alumni Association in Kenya for 6 years among other leadership experiences drawn from his professional life. Additionally, he is a Full Member of Institute of Human Resources Management (IHRM-Kenya) & Kenya Institute of Management (KIM), Member and Peer Reviewer at Society of Educational Research and Evaluation in Kenya; Licensed Researcher at National Commission for Science, Technology and Innovation (NACOSTI) – 2013, 2014, 2015 & 2016, certified Lead Expert from National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) and Member & Advisor at Environment Institute of Kenya. Dr. Muli is a Research Fellow at University of Nairobi and Machakos. Muli has vast experience in Business Strategy and has published widely. He an Author of two Management books, namely: Public sector performance measurement book under the performance contracting system and Performance Measurement in Practice - Tracking the Score.
