It is my valentine gift! It is my birth day gift! were some of the exciting comments by winners of the ongoing domestic promotion campaigns by Kenya Tourism Board (KTB).
“This is my birthday gift, I am excited that this has come at the right time,” said Caroline Achieng Onditi who hails from Homa Bay County. She won a three day trip to Tsavo East National Park and a two night accommodation for two at Ashnil Aruba.
Beth Mureithi from Kiambu County who was accompanied by her husband says her valentine day is taken care of with a three day prize for two in Taita Hills Conservancy and a two night accommodation at Taita Hills Lodge.
Mr Edwin Makwali says he will be marking his valentine day in Masai Mara game reserve with a two nights stay at Ashnil Mara Camp.
Speaking while presenting prizes to the second batch of winners, KTB Managing Director Muriithi Ndegwa encouraged other Kenyans to participate in the promotion to win prizes.
“These could be a life time opportunity for Kenyans who have not had time to tour the country and we urge them to take advantage of the ongoing SMS promotions and win prizes to travel and discover their country,” says Muriithi.
Other winners included; Mercy Gatobu who won a flying package for two to Diani and a two nights stay at Amani Tiwi. Patrick Libole won a three day prize for two in Aberdares National Park and a two night stay at Outspan Hotel and Treetops.
Mr Ashford Ngatuni of Machakos County will enjoy kayaking activities in Lake Victoria after winning a prize for three-day long excursions and two nights for two at Rusinga Island.
It was big news for Irene Waithira Kimunya from Muranga County who won her three days trip to Nakuru National Park along with her family. She took the weekly winner prize for four people at Mbweha camp.
“I am so excited that I can now take my family of four to sample our safari product,” says elated Kimunya .
